Bringing Meaningful VR Experiences to 2019 Project We Care Garden Party

On September 1st, 2019, Cornerstone Enrichment, as the smart education business arm of Silversea Media Group participated in the 4th biennial Project We Care Garden Party at Istana — an initiative by the People’s Association of Singapore.

The event was held as a pre-Lantern Festival celebration for more than 1,500 families in need, whilst encapsulating Singapore’s forward-looking vision in embracing technology. These beneficiaries were given a special opportunity to visit Istana and enjoy the engagement programs and multi-ethnic cuisines.

Cornerstone Enrichment presented FutureClass Virtual Reality Solution and showcased an immersive VR experience to the attendees. Many of the participants including the elderly and children were captivated by the technology as they experienced it for the first time. We are committed to maintaining our keen sense of corporate social responsibility and commitment to community welfare and diversity.

The Garden Party was hosted by Singapore’s President Halimah Yacob together with Mr. Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Trade and Industry and Deputy Chairman of People’s Association. Through the collective efforts of corporate volunteers, comprising CEOs and employees from the Project We Care Network, the event brought smiles to guests through a mix of digital and multi-ethnic interactive activity booths, including VR journey to the moon, traditional & digital “pen-a-wish” lantern display, and many more.

Silversea Media Group is humbled to be part of this beautiful event where we had the opportunity to give back to the society, and our volunteers certainly had an equally enjoyable time with the community. We look forward to working on other meaningful initiatives in the near future.
